At the 5th anniversary edition of InnerSound New Arts Festival, we get into the big league: our guests, artists from Norway, Holland, Danemark, Island, France, Austria and Romania will hold unprecedented performances at the end of the summer. Innersound is the only Romanian independent event that offers a new perspective on contemporary cult music, putting it in touch with visual arts, film and multimedia.

The 5th edition of INNERSOUND NEW ARTS FESTIVAL will take place in Bucharest between August 26th and September 1st 2018. Chamber concerts, installations, silent movies accompanied by contemporary live composition, participative art and performance, as well as creative workshops put contemporary music in relation to visual arts and multimedia. Among the guests of this edition there are: the Arcadia string quartet (RO), Zona Imaginarium (RO), SonoMania chamber ensemble, conductor Alexandru Mija, Barbara Lüneburg (DE/AT), Daniel Formo (NO), Stephanie Pan / Vitaly Medvedev (NL), SiGRUN (IS), Zoli Toth (RO), Mitoș Micleușanu (RO), Rowan Tara de Freitas (GB/DE) among others.

InnerSound founders are three composers who include in their work visual arts and performance: Sabina Ulubeanu - artistic director and photographer, Diana Rotaru is interested in the syncretic side of arts, Cătălin Crețu - artistic consultant and multimedia artist. The festival is also a powerful platform for the promotion of young composers, instrumentalists, photographers, visual artists and film directors.

Over the time, Romanian young artists of great value internationally such as violinist Alexandru Tomescu, violinist and composer Vlad Maistorovici, the Ad Libitum quartet, conductor Gabriel Bebeșelea, cellist Laura Buruiană, gathered on the InnerSound New Arts Festival stage, alongside artists and contemporary classical music ensembles such as composer Henry Vega, violinist Barbara Lüneburg, mezzo-soprano Anat Spiegel, SIGMA Project, Dublin Sound Lab, soprano Irina Ungureanu, Controllar Groupe or Contempo Quartet.
