Radio Chamber Orchesta - concert on 31st October

Monday, 22 October 2012 , ora 10.22

After the impressing start that marked the beginning of the season, the end of October will bring an extraordinary concert of the Radio Chamber Orchestra, held by the highly known conductor Cristian Florea, together with Dana Borșan andToma Popovici, with the piano.

The public is invited to listen again La Clemenza di Tito by Mozart on the evening of 31st October, 2012, starting with 7pm. This work has been written by Mozart in only three weeks, in order to be performed at the wedding of Leopold the IInd of Bavaria, on 6th September, 1791. There will also be performed Schubert's Symphony No. 5 in B Flat Major, which the composer himself did not ever listen to, the first audition being held in Vienna in 1841, more than a decade after he passed away.

In the program there is also included The Carnival of the Animals by Saint- Saëns, "a work apparently interpreted as a joke, where we discover the dual personality of the artist, as several elements of his existence are mixed together, from the romantic sentimentalist to the one who admires nature's performance; from the vocation of a virtuoso to the deceitful game of appearances", says the critic Grigore Constantinescu.
