The newest opera score signed by a Romanian composer, A Lost Letter, completed by the artist Dan Dediu during this very year, will be an absolute premiere starting at the National Opera of Bucharest at 7:00 p.m, on Sunday, 16th December,.,. Being a music transposition of the famous comedy written by Ion Luca Caragiale, the new production is directed by Ștefan Neagrău, while the setting was designed by Viorica Petrovici.

'I was caught in a traffic jam and I turned on the radio on the Radio Romania Music station. A Piazzolla tango was on air. In a split second, I realized that was Tipătescu! The rest came by itself: Trahanache - characterized by the Balkan melodic rhythms and inflexions; Cațavencu - versatile and slick, within a background ranging from a long circle dance and romanza rhythms to habanera and French can-can (...)', Dan Dediu declared for the NOB.
