On Tuesday, 26th February - Jazz Evening at the Small Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum. Tuesday Evening Seasonre vealed to jazz lovers 11 musicians from the National University of Music in Bucharest. The classic jazz concert - entitled Mircea Tiberian and His Disciples was performed by the young musicians prepared by one of the most important pianists and composers of the genre, with a solid career. They studied both the art of interpretation and the art of composition and improvisation - an essential technique in jazz, whom Mircea Tiberian 'disciples ' proved to have definitely achieved.

We listened to three beautiful voices that performed in lively coloured recitals by their own creations, as the ones presented by Elena Moroșanu and Ana Cristina Leonte or the well-known hits that remind us of John Lennon, Paul McCartney or Miles Davis. A calm, warm and vivid voice was shown by Elena Moroșanu, who performed in the band "Three for Helen", a first recital followed by the performance of the Duo Liviu Negru - Alex Olteanu. The two jazz performers delighted the audience with their adaptations after Miles Davis and Henry Mancini, having Viorica Pintilie as a special guest, a talented and , delicate musician mindful of the improvisations of her partners. The last recital was performed by "Ana Christina and Friends", with scores written by Mircea Tiberian and Ana Cristina Leonte - the soloist of the group. She impressed with her warm, throatily voice, making amazing jumps from the grave sounds to the acute ones, Ana Cristina Leonte performing also in a duet with the saxophonist Mihai Iordache.

The almost 90 minutes of jazz at the Small Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum were not enough for the lovers of the genre, who rewarded the performances of the young musicians with applauses.
