In 2019, at Jazzy Hour, I was speaking about the world of cars, where "4×4" equals to a higher level of efficiency thanks to the equal distribution of power in all four wheels when I heard this quartet for the first time. When it comes to music, besides having a flowing measure, a balanced quartet, with musicians who cannot disappoint no matter what, with well-balanced roles is one of the most powerful creative expressions of all eras. The more attracted we are to an album, the more we appreciate the contribution of valuable musicians.

"4 Wheel Drive" perfectly defines the auspicious meeting of four thorough artists, with deeply held respect for one another, whose roads have intertwined many times, but have never recorded together up until now. The path is clear, and the group is off towards the open road, with four wonderful soloists, four equally-distributed forces. The album was a success, there was no other way with such an impressive set. A tour and a live recording of their last concert followed implicitly, the latter becoming the second group album. Jazz celebrities play the music of pop stars in a unique atmosphere, with a remarkable personal contribution, everything you would expect from such an artistic level. When choosing popular songs, if you do not play them remarkably, you are forgotten.

Each of them could fill a grand hall, so a supergroup composed of Landgren, Wollny, Danielsson, and Haffner aims to fulfill our expectations and prove that musical success means anything else, except a theoretical game of strategy.
