Tonight in Torino, the young Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili makes her debut as a soloist of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra. Even though she is only twenty-five years old, Khatia Buniatishvili is a well-known name among music lovers due to her appearances on world stages, but also due to a series of recordings very well rated. Ever since she was six years old she was the soloist of an orchestra, and his early talent crystallized in a rare manner, always attracting special appreciation from her listeners.
We will recognise her deep style, combined with a special emotion, in the famous Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16 by Edvard Grieg. RAI Symphony Orchestra in Torino will be led by another young musician, who has an exceptional career - Juraj Valèuha, the one who since at the end of the year 2009 has been the principal conductor of the well reputed Italian orchestra. The programme proposed by them is comprised of another two famous works - the overture of the opera Prodaná nevìsta by Bedűich Smetana and Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
