The second concert within the Guitar International Festival at the ´Mihail Jora´ Concert Hall running between March 16th and March 23rd is to take place tomorrow at 19:00. On this occasion, internationally acclaimed guitarist Goran Krivokapiæ will perform alongside the Radio National Orchestra under the baton of German conductor Ralf Sochaczewsky.

Goran Krivokapic was born in 1979 in Belgrade and started his musical career at the age of eight with MiæoPoznanoviæ. He graduated from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade and continued studying with Hubert Käppel and Roberto Aussel at the Cologne University of Music. Krivokapic has recently been awarded Magna Cum Laude by the Maastricht Academy of Music in the Netherlands where he studied with Carlo Marchione.

For his musical performance, Goran Krivokapic has received numerous awards including two Golden Guitar awards at the International Guitar Convention in Alessandria (Italy) for best up-and-coming guitarist as well as for best album of the year.

Ralf Sochaczewsky studied music with Marc Piollet and Professor Christian Grube and at the same time he took up violin with Irmgard Huntgeburth. Today he is principal conductor of the Berlin Cantus Domus Choir as well as the Ensemberlino Vocale ensemble, being awarded the first prize at the Berlin Choir Competition. In November 2007, he assisted Vladimir Jurowski at the rack of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, which he afterwards conducted in May 2010 at the Royal Festival Hall.
