Wednesday, 6 June 2012, at 19.00 the Radio Chamber Orchestra invites you to a symphony concert that will have as guest conductor and violinist Robert Bokor, artistic director of the Belgrade Philharmonic and principal conductor of the Arpeggione Chamber Orchestra in Austria. The concert will start with Suite for string orchestra by Leoč Janáèek, afterwards we will listen to Concerto for violin and string orchestra in D minorby Felix Mendelssohn and Rondo in A for violin and string quartet by Franz Schubert, having as soloist Robert Bokor. In the closing of the programme will be performed Serenade in C major for string trio by Ernő Dohnányi.
Serb conductor and violinist, Robert Bokor was born in Macedonia in a family of musicians. He started studying at the Mokranjac School of Music in Belgrade, where his exceptional talent was noticed at once and at only eleven years old he made his debut as a soloist in concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra in the capital. Ever since that moment he has won many competitions of the kind. Robert Bokor's musical career permanently enriched and diversified, so that the audiences in Europe, Israel, Asia, Central and South America, USA enjoyed his presence. He evolved in famous halls such as: Verdi Hall in Milan, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, Franz Liszt Hall of the Budapest Academy and many others. In 2008 Robert Bokor became the artistic director of the Belgrade Philharmonic and in March 2011 he became principal conductor of the Arpeggione Chamber Orchestra in Austria.
