Radio Chamber Orchestra - live broadcast
Wednesday, 8 December 2010 , 19.00

Today’s Radio Chamber Orchestra concert is a special one which will take us on a journey through the musical creation of lesser known 18th-century composers.

We will have the opportunity to listen to sinfonias composed by Bach’s sons, Johann Christian and Carl Philipp Emanuel, both influenced by Rococo and the incipient stages of Classicism, a concerto by Carl Stamitz, the most important representative of the second generation of the Mannheim School, and a sinfonia by Joseph Martin Kraus, born in Germany, but known as ‘the Swedish Mozart’.

Moreover, today’s concert is the first to be held after the return of the Radio Chamber Orchestra from their successful tour in Japan. Last, but not least, the name of the guests should also arouse the interest of the audience: the orchestra will be led by one of the most promising conductors of the young generation, József Horváth, permanent conductor of the Romanian and Hungarian Operas in Cluj Napoca, whereas the solo part will be performed by Alexandru Moroșanu, one of the most highly acclaimed Romanian ‘cellists.
