Listening to Mozart is an ever-new occasion to rekindle a universe never fully explored, always a revelation of authentic genius, always a confrontation with the inflexible standard of simplicity.

Some works will fall into oblivion with the passage of time, but it will never be so with Mozart, and the relevance of unique artistic acts will never be lost. Be they performed as series, integrals or individual works, Mozart’s concertos always reveal a world fascinating in its brilliance and diversity, challenging by the surprises each score offers. As a virtuoso of his time – a complete performer– he would always find, when composing for piano, expressive resources matching his creative imagination, easily striking a chord with the artists of our time, despite the centuries that have passed since.

Pianist Michael Abramovich, soloist and conductor of the Radio Chamber Orchestra, has selected three concertos out of those written in 1784 -KV 449, 450 and 451 for the concert to be held on Monday, January 19th 2011. One more encounter with a complex artist of a family of musicians with significant accomplishments in the context of our cultural life.
