"For the first time in the history of civilisation you can be an extremly intelligent and educated person without having any contact, of any kind, with music. You can know a lot about literature, philosophy, painting, architecture while music is having no role in this equation. This is one of the most profound reasons why the discographic market has so many problems. I didn't want to accept this negative assessment and that is why, I would like to start something which would have an impact on the younger generation which fits perfectly to this digital world." - said one of the most respected musicians of the moment, Daniel Barenboim, on his recent release of his new house of records, which is called Peral Music. The new label covers exclusively audio-type recordings, which you could listen to only by downloading them from the internet. The logo of the Peral Music brand - which is part of the Universal Music giant - was designed by no one else than the architect Frank Gehry, who also designed , without any financial pretence, the plans for the Barenboim-Said Academy, currently under construction in the capital of Germany.

The name is also a special one - Peral, in Spanish, means hair, and Barenboim is the Yiddish equivalent of the German word Birnbaum, which also means hair.

The first available recordings of musical pieces from the concert are the first 3 symphonies by Anton Bruckner, recordings made by Daniel Barenboim as the chief-conductor and music director of the Berlin Staatskapelle.

"And, from this series, launched on 30th April this year, you will listen to Anton Bruckner's Symphony No.1 in C minor performed by the Berlin Staatskapelle conducted by Daniel Barenboim - on Arpeggio on Monday, 16th June, at 10:00,.
