The Tenor Juan Diego Florez - 'Italy': Nonconformist Portrait, 15th November
It is a collection of famous canzonets, most of them being arranged especially to evoke the sound of an authentic Neapolitan group, where, beside the famous tenor born in Lima, we can also see the mandolinist Avi Avital, the accordionist Ksenjia Sidorova or the guitarist Craig Ogden, but also the Gioacchino Rossini Philharmonic Orchestra of Pesaro conducted by the talented and young conductor Carlo Tenan.
Juan Diego Florez entered the world music by singing pop-rock music and Peruvian songs, but at the age of seventeen years old he started his studies for canto-classics at the National Conservatory of Music of Lima, becoming also the member of the National Choir of Peru. After only three years he got a scholarship at the Curtis Institute of Philadelphia, where he mainly studied the repertory that is still his specialty - the repertory of bel canto; even though, once with his artistic maturity, he became interested in other repertory areas. He can proof this with these Italian songs album that the most part of it was recorded in his own house situated on the South of Persano. It was released at the international level on 11th September, 2015, reason why it is included in the 'Vote the disc classical music of 2015' campaign, which can be found on the site www.romania-muzical.ro.
