The Embassy of Romania in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland together with the Romanian Cultural Institute in London are to hold a music and literature evening on 14^th March dedicated to “everlasting femininity” to bring out into relief two important Romanian holidays, namely 1^st March and Woman’s Day. As a matter of course, the event held by the soprano Alexandra Coman and the actress Andreea Păduraru and given under Dr. Ion Jinga Excellency’s patronage, Romania’s Ambassador who addresses foremost to the women from the artistic and diplomatic area and to those from the Romanian community in London, as well.

Good afternoon, Mr. Dorian Branea. Thank you for receiving us at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London once again. There is a very beautiful event that can be distinguished by its gracefulness and artistry.

Not only do I welcome you on every occasion, but you and your listeners are always welcom to all our events, at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, not just only to those dedicated to gracefulness and artistry, as you have well mentioned. Indeed, we are organizing along with the Embassy of Romania in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, an event dedicated to the so-called everlasting femininity. Actually, it is a little staggered, but it is never too late to pay homage to everlasting femininity; so, it is dedicated to gracefulness, beauty and accomplishments whereby we try to assert these two important Romanian celebrations on the 1^st March and the 8^th March. We have invited two young artists who illustrate in the superlative not only the beauty, but also the artistry and gratefulness. We are talking about the soprano Alexandra Coman and the actress Andreea Păduraru. It is an event which has an eye to several points. First of all, it essays to call forth great feminine characters in the Romania’s history. This nation has given forth to great women along the history, women of which is worth to speak of. We are going to pause mainly on two figures who had an amazing international career; we can say that each one embodies the idea of Romanian feminity. First of all, Queen Mary of Romania, this great personality, not only a feminine one, but a Romania’s historical figure, as well; she represented a very solid bridge between Romania and the Great Britain. Martha Bibescu is another distinguish and very important personality in Romania’s history. An appreciable woman and a great patriot. In the first part of the evening’s programme this evocation will take place, highlighted in lyrics, with memorial excerpts and awakenings created by the actrees Andreea Păduraru; although she is Romanian originating, she has recenly asserted in a very good production at the National Theatre in London, Frankestein of the renowed Danny Boyle. In the second part of the programme, the soprano Alexandra Coman is going for sure to entertain us with some of the everlasting opera areas and with some Romanian songs in order to render this national relish to an event which adresses, as each of our events does, to the Britan audience and to the Romanian one, as well, that is to say to the Romanian community in London. As I have told you before, this event is created along with the Embassy of Romania in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and given under the Dr. Ion Jinga Excellency’s patronage, the Romanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom; so, it is dedicated first and foremost, but not exclusively, to all the ladies from our manifold audience.
