Interview with the Piano Player Adela Liculescu

Wednesday, 19 March 2014 , ora 9.38

The piano player Adela Liculescu performed in a concert on the stage of the Berlin Philarmonic on Saturday evening, 15th 2014, in an event in which the piano-player Yukako Morikawa and Klara Min also participated while Raphael Haeger was the conductor.

You were on the stage of the
Berlin Philarmonic on Saturday evening, where you performed the Piano Concerto No. 21 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. How would you describe this experience?

For me, being offered the chance to play in the Chamber Music Hall, ‘the little brother of the Berlin Philharmonic’, meant an incredible experience. Of course, it is a great joy and honour for me, as a very young artist, at the beginning of my musical career, to be able to perform in this place where very important artists played, as well. It’s been an honour to me, for sure.

How did you collaborate with the other musicians who participated in this event?

It is always a great pleasure, for sure, when everybody is very well prepared. It was indeed an incredible experience to be able to work together with them, and everybody was very enthusiastic. The conductor was very kind, he is a very good musician and I was so glad to have the chance to work with all of them.

What other projects do you set for the audience, and especially for the Romanian one?

I have just been invited to the Romanian Athenaeum to participate in next year, as well. Now we have to search out for a suitable date; I can’t say anything concrete for now, but I am to perform in the next season at the Romanian Athenaeum. I am going to participate in the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv. As far as I know from the previous editions, it will be broadcast live on the internet. So, the Romanian audience can follow up all the competitors, not only me and I can tell you, there are high standards.
