Andrei Dimitriu about the collaboration of the Philharmonic with Radio Romania and the EBU
What does the
collaboration with Radio Romania and the European Broadcasting Union mean to George
Enescu Philharmonic, and what impact do
you think the project will have on the institution you are leading?
What does this protocol mean for the Philharmonic? Imagine that the
audience reaches 1.5 - 2 million listeners. It comprises about twenty European
countries, and thus it becomes a space that also allows the gaining of artistic
recognition, certainly, to the extent possible. And the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir are high quality artistic structures.
In this way, in terms of the reputation,
the Philharmonic will increase, and Europe will hear that the first symphony
orchestra in Romania is one that deserves to be integrated in the great European orchestras’ network. And
this is precisely what we desire.
Has it already been decided what
performances will be taken by the European Broadcasting Union Radio Department?
