On December 19^th, the men's choir "Te Deum Laudamus" will perform a special concert with Romanian carols and Star songs on the Radio Hall stage. What will be special about this event, the conductor of the ensemble told us, priest Matei Zaharia:

This event comes after a long time, so to speak. We have worked very nicely with the Broadcasting Society in Bucharest. I have done many concerts with Master Mihai Goia, my predecessor, in the past few years. We are very tied to this institution and to this wonderful hall. On Tuesday, December 19, we will also launch a CD with traditional Romanian carols, which includes works from the creation of new contemporary composers, very beautiful works written with great sensitivity. Here we are, able to support an exclusive concert of our choir in the studio of Mihail Jora of the Radio. What I want to say about this is that we are very glad that we are welcomed by the Radio Broadcasting Company leaders and we would like to thank those who supported us to make this concert possible, for this courtesy and for the promptness with which they responded to our request. It will be a wonderful evening, an evening of joy, in which we will be addressing, through singing through these wonderful carols of our Romanian Orthodox tradition, all those who will listen to us, the listeners of the radio, but also those who will be present in the hall, and will admire the music of "Te Deum Laudamus". We want to convey to those who will listen, to those who will listen to this wonderful concert in our country our thanks and good wishes for the celebration of the birth of our Lord and for the New Year to come. Once again, I thank the Romania Cultural and Romania Music departments and we hope to have a very beautiful and fruitful cooperation with the Romanian Radio.
