The first musical evening organized at the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bucharest will be given by the pianist Mădălina Pașol. The recital will be completed by an opening with works by his daughter, Ava Pașol, with whom the pianist will also perform the Concerto in C major for cello and orchestra RV 399, by Antonio Vivaldi.

At the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bucharest, you will give the first recital of the "From classical to jazz" evenings. The program will include works in tune with the theme of the event - Mozart, Gershwin, but also arrangements signed by you, as well as a chamber moment with your daughter, Ava Pașol, on cello. What is the story behind the selection of works?

I really wanted to make my program in such a way that it would be very enjoyable for the public, to be a joy, especially after the period of restrictions. And, of course, my greatest joy, as a parent, is to be able to sing with my daughter, Ava Pașol, who, on this occasion, also presents a small opening because she is a little famous painter.

As you said, the recital will be completed by an opening with Ave'sworks. How do you combine these two passions of hers - music and painting?

Very harmonious. Our joy is that she is not obliged to do any of these two activities, but she does them out of passion. Before she started painting and cello, she played performance tennis, but it seems that her soul as an artist has won the sport. At the beginning of the pandemic, she really wanted to learn to play the cello, which she did with my father, Teodor Pașol, and my brother, Cătălin Pașol. At this moment, she is preparing for Ștefan Cazacu, which is again a great joy for us, to have with us such a competent teacher and a young man extremely involved in the Romanian musical life.

Initially, the recital we are talking about was scheduled for October. How did the pianist Mădălina Pașol go through this period with reprogramming and constant changes of situation?

Ooo, with a lot of patience, because I had no other solution. We had a lot of concerts suspended or postponed, but it was normal. We enjoyed a little more family time, but my work continued. I can't say I stood on the sidelines. I've had enough of many events. Of course, it could have been more, but now a new artistic era is beginning and we hope that everything will get better and better.
