Wednesday, 12 December 2012 , ora 9.43

For music lovers of all ages, who enjoy various music genres, December is the month of surprise concerts at the Radio Hall, which naturally include Christmas carols and songs, an occasion for the audience to feel the magic atmosphere of the festive season. If on 9th December the audience enjoyed carols sung by children or compositions with religious influences sung by two specialised artistic ensembles, and on 13th December the Academic Radio Choir will sing Christmas songs of Slavic origin, the concert scheduled at 5 p.m., on Sunday, 16th December will give you the chance to listen to traditional Christmas carols.

Do you miss the groups of carol singers at home, the smell of the traditional Christmas cake, of walnuts and apples, and the Christmas star heralding the birth of our Lord? Under the title 'We go carolling…', ensembles presenting Christmas customs and traditions, as well as groups of carol singers from Arad, Sibiu, Mehedinți, Suceava, Tulcea, Vrancea, and Maramureș will bring back the magic of childhood at the Radio Hall.

You will be able to listen to Marcel Părău and the 'Merghindeal' carol-singing group (Sibiu County), Alina and Genuca Ceuca, Elena Mimiș Trancă and the 'Liliacul' group (Mehedinți County), the 'Junii Crișului' ensemble (Arad County), the 'Măgura-Cernești' ensemble (Maramureș County), the 'Poienița' ensemble (Suceava County), the 'Moșoaiele' carol-singing ensemble (Tulcea County), and the 'Chipărușul' carol-singing ensemble (Vrancea County).
