Thursday, 14 June 2012 , ora 10.26

- free programmes for families with children aged between 2 and 6 years old -

We are slowly approaching the much desired summer holiday. If you cannot schedule you vacation in the next month but want to spend as much time as possible with your little one, For Love of Art Association invites you to enjoy a unique project in the Romanian cultural landscape: Muse. Music. Museum.

The month of May was dedicated to programmes developed together with kindergartens but, starting with 23rd June, children, together with their parents, are expected to discover by playing, through music and exercise, the 'George Enescu' National Museum in 141 Victoriei Ave., Bucharest.

The family dedicated workshops are structured on two novel themes: 'From a Fiddle Bow to a Playful Piano' and 'Mr. C and Miss A'. Both workshops are free, for children and adults alike, all you have to do is to sign up.

And so, the whole educational approach has as main focus creativity; by combining several arts inside the same programme we target the natural absorption of practices and values by young children who, in the future, will tackle culture in a natural, accessible and attractive way. Everything will take place under the supervision of museum education and creative dance specialists and with the help of instrument players who will play and enchant the audience with fragments from well-known works of Enescu's universe.

Theme one:
'From a Fiddle Bow to a Playful Piano'- programme for children aged between 2-3 years old and 4-6 years old.

Dancing, music and exercising are the joys of the little ones. But what happens when you mix that up with colourful scarves, instruments and fancy bowties? It results in a creative exercise for children and adults alike, in which they will learn together what are the attractions of the museum and the joy of small but valuable things.

Theme two:
'Mr. C and Miss A' - programme for children aged between 2-3 years old and 4-6 years old.

Mr. C likes paintings and he collects diplomas, photographs and all kinds of objects you will discover together with the organizers. Miss A is very elegant and nice, resembling very much to Maruca Cantacuzino, George Enescu's wife, one of the most distinguished ladies of long ago times. The activity ends with forming a small orchestra, and if it's warm and nice outside, Mr. C and Miss A will invite you to explore the 'sound' garden in the back of the palace.

Space, culture, music, history, creativity, education... all for the little ones, courtesy of the For Love of Art Association and George Enescu Museum through the Muse. Music. Museum project, financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund. We invite you to an interactive and unforgettable educational visit for parents and children alike!
