Tuesday, 9 March 2021 , ora 15.07

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the "George Enescu" National Museum presents a documentary exhibition about the 3 maternal figures who guided, helped and supported George Enescu at the beginning of his musical life and career. It is about Maria Enescu, his mother, and about the two "vice-mothers" - Elena Bibescu and Queen Elisabeta of Romania.

The selection of documents presented (http://bit.ly/3sUOOGM) (photos, correspondence), together with the online exhibition (http://bit.ly/3l4VGyR) reveals George Enescu's relations with the 3 mothers: Maria Enescu, princess Elena Bibescu and Queen Elisabeta of Romania.

The "George Enescu" National Museum presents permanent exhibitions at all venues, exhibitions illustrating the life and work of the great musician, as well as temporary exhibitions with various themes. According to its special specifics, the "George Enescu" National Museum supports, through the permanent cultural programs it organizes, the promotion of Romanian and foreign musical creation, as well as of the interpretive art.
