We move to the next topic, driven by the same sensation of being captivatedby novelty, by the pleasure to listen to something warm, fresh, and familiar, coming from a noteworthy artist among the new and good ones. Truth be told, it sounds really interesting. However, out of all demonstrations of mastery, we are left with what first touches us, namely the emotion coming from an honest desire to show something, and not just the result of the hours of study. Pianist Sade Mangiaracina comes from Sicily, and she offers us "Madiba", an album endowed with an admirable interplay, memorable compositions and attitude. It's been recorded in a trio with her old colleagues bassist Marco Bardoscia and drummer Gianluca Brugnano. "Madiba" has melodious tones, Mediterranean accents, lyricism and improvisation on the line that connects the jazz language with ethnic accents, in a friendly approach, characterized by pop music, in the best sense of the word. It is a vibrant music, of a maturity that not only critics can notice, but also the audience that keeps growing in number. It's clear that after such an album, more and more people become interested in Sade Mangiaracina's vocal and written composition.
