Nevertheless, the chances of reaching a common and valuable production occur frequently and must be exploited to its fullest."Say It Quiet" is the result of the collaboration between the old friends, the saxophonist John Ellis, the guitarist Adam Levy and the pianist Glenn Patscha, rhythmically supported by bassist Chris Morrisey and drummer Dan Rieser. The three illustrious and very busy musicians thought that the time dedicated to a meeting in which they can play songs suitable for their common approaches could be rewarded with a high-quality album. They actually knew it would go well, knowing their compatible personalities and the enthusiasm confessed regarding a common repertoire. The whole album is dominated by the mastery that reduces the elements to the essentials before turning them into a common, authentic voice. The wind instruments, keytars and the guitar combine closely, on a discreet and perfectly adapted rhythmic pulsation. Each piece is enriched by the soloistic power of each instrument, with delicately placed phrases on the spacious structure. Modern jazz, memorable in beauty and unity.
