On the 1st of April was released the 14th album of Jason Vieaux, an experienced guitar player, Grammy-winner, the founder of a prestigious School of Guitar, which bears his name, and of the guitar department at the Curtis Institute of Music. Highly praised by the specialized publications for his musicality and flawless tehnique, Jason Vieaux has released, voila, a new album, the second devoted to Johann Sebastian Bach's music, after the disk recorded in 2009, which included songs for the lute in solo guitar arrangements. This time, Jason Vieaux chose two sonatas and a partita for violin from the creation of the preclassical and recalled composer and transcribed them for guitar. Regarding Bach's music, the 48-year-old artist states: "It is always present for us to explore. It is not only comforting and inspiring in its greatness , but it's remarcable in all every true sense- every note, phrase, structure, musical and harmonic composition, they all seem devine and expressive at the same time, a respite in such a troubled world. Bach goes beyond time and style." Knowing deeply the musical details and valences of Johann Sebastian Bach's, the guitarist Jason Vieaux offers us a pensive, austere, immaculate stylistic and technical interpretation .

The guitarist Jason Vieaux was born in 1973 in Buffalo, where he started his musical studies at the age of 8, after which he continued to turn professional at Cleveland Institute of Music. In 1992 he was won the first prize at the International Competion of the Guitar Foundation of America and following his succes he performed with over 100 symphony orchestras, recalling those from Philadelphia, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Cleveland and Houston. Jason Vieaux also has a substantial discography, his albums incorporating various creations- from Bach's music to contemporary one. His recordings enjoy enthusiastic appreciation, a proof in this respect being his Grammy award received in 2014 for the Play album, which encompasses songs from the Latin repertoire. Since then, the guitarist has released nine more CDs, the latest being the exceptional record that gathers solo violin pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, in guitar arrangements. Recorded during 2018 and 2019 in the concert hall of Goshen College in Indiana, the disk has been released at the american recording label Azica Records.
