Today we meet Emilio Teubal, an Argentine pianist and composer based in NY, present on dozens of albums as author or collaborator, with a vision that brings virtuosity closer to a clear address, helping us to enter relaxed in a musical environment where Latin America unites languages and expands stylistic boundaries. In 2023 he released his sixth title as leader, "Futuro", a product of ideas and emotions gathered after 2020, when many artists discovered their untapped resources as the world took a break from the daily grind. A block that generated reflections for many, and some of them had the power to express musically the loss, the pain, the recovery and all that happens when you realize that it is no longer a question of succeeding, but of surviving. "Futuro" contains a set of pieces written in a modern, unified aesthetic, deeply emotional and with a unifying perspective and comprehensive language. And surprisingly, as always a musician manages to be accessible, eloquent, using sophisticated expression.
