I propose one of the most direct, simple and sincere ways to get to the essence of music: two very talented musicians, friends, with a rich musical culture in common, one stringed instrument or more, a voice and music chosen by heart. Dan "Chimy" Chmielinski and Martina DaSilva have been working since 2014 under the name ChimyTina, managing to form a repertoire based on original arrangements for voice and double bass, completed in the studio by various instruments placed discreetly for solo or accompaniment. I listened with great pleasure to this disc produced with her own resources and played with surprising detachment. On usual jazz songs or composed by David Bowie, Martina DaSilva's voice conveys exactly the essence we sometimes want in the cleanest presentation. Airy, candid and very well-articulated. That's why some artists are truly special.
