Monday, 25th of November 2024, The National Chamber Choir "Madrigal- Marin Constantin", conducted by Anna Ungureanu, ends the European tour "Bridges across Europe" with an extraordinary concert at "The Amuz Hall of the former St. Augustine Church in Antwerp, Belgium". It is an event that manager of the ensemble - Emil Pantelimon spoke in the Radio România Muzical "Musica Viva":

Good morning!

Good morning. I'm glad to hear from you again.

The ensemble conducted by Ana Ungureanu will end the european tour "Bridges across Europe" it is an extraordinary concert performed in Belgium. Before talking about the event from this evening, how did the series that started on November 20th unfold in Luxembourg?

It was an extraordinary tour that will end up today with two events. First one will start in half an hour. Madrigal is launching at the House of Europe, the Museum of the History of the European Union, the album with the 26 national anthems performed by Madrigal and filmed at the Madrigal "Marin Constantin" gallery, at the Romanian Parliament. From November 20th , as you correctly said we will be on tour and we're glad to have had successful concerts in Luxembourg, Brussels, and Bruges, even two concerts in Brussels. It was a very interesting experience, and the public welcomed us with many rounds of applause and the cathedrals were full to capacity. In Brussels, people even stood up. It was a pleasant atmosphere, even more because it was a double holiday, the National Day of Romania on one hand, and on the other hand, the beginning of Christmas, because at least in Bruges, the Christmas market already started.

How does the schedule of Madrigal choir looks like in December afterreturning to the country?

With a lot of surprises, we are preparing for twonewshows, one of themisnamed Christmas of flowers it will have fou rrepresentations, the first two are already sold out. In the first two weeks we managed to put two more performances for theaudience. A performance of exclusively Romanian music, an authentic Romanian Christmas carol concert from times past, as it is said, beautifully crafted between carols, winter songs, with the participation of children from the Cantus Mundi choirs. More than 600 children will sing together with the Madrigal choir. It will be a magical celebration at the Patriarchal Palace, where for some time now we have had a sort of Madrigal season. The second surprise is the second premiere of Madrigal Christmas Mood, in an extraordinary hall at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. We will bring an international Christmas, we will make a journey across the world and we will show multiple faces of Christmas the cathedral one, but also, the jazz of New Orleans one, it will be a colorful tree of Christmas exclusively in foreign languages.

Besides those five events in Bucharest, will there be another performances in the country?

We have a short tour because the time is not on our side, we have seven concerts in Bucharest and we are still preparing the next year ones this month, but there will be three concerts in the country, in Slobozia, Brăila and Constanța, in a very short and fast tour of three days where Madrigal will stopthe concert activity this year.

Thank you for your presence in the morning show, good luck for tonight and throughout December, safe travels back home.

We thank you.
