Cellist Jan Vogler’s activity takes place on two levels and in two countries: instrumentalist soloist and musical events planner – as a matter of fact, he is the musical director of the Dresden Festival,

 

Between May 23rd- 25th, at the organizers’ request, Cristina Comandașu partook, as an accredited journalist, to Dresdnermusikfestspiele – the Dresden Music Festival, one of the most important musical events in Germany.

Three concerts were watched: The Pittsburgh Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Manfred Honeck, Jan Vogler cello soloist (May, 23rd), Misha and Lili Maiski (May, 24th) and The Mariinski Theatre Orchestra, conducted by Valeri Gergiev, Denis Matsuev soloist pianist (May, 25th).

All this time, Cristina Comandașu got three exclusive interviews and was one of the 7 journalists invited to partake at one of the conductor Valeri Gergiev’s meetings with the press.

Saturday and Sunday, on July 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th, from 4:05 p.m., you are invited to listen to the four transmissions which focus on these interviews: some of them are took out right from the concerts unfolded at Dresden, obtained through the kindness of the German Radio MDR (pieces of the concerts from May 23rd and 25th ), others are recordings broadcasted for the first time in Romania (cellist Jan Vogler’s recordings for Sony BMG).

The transcription of the interviews will be available beginning with the 5th of July 2010 on www.radio-muzical.ro – the link of the interviews, and the proper transmissions will be available for re-listening on the web site – the link of the Transmission. Moreover, the original version of the interviews, in English, will be available on the English version of Radio Romania Muzical web site, both written and audio – the link of the Interviews.
