Wednesday, 18 May 2011 , 19.00

Romania, England, Bulgaria, Russia, Austria, Germany, France - 7 countries that will be represented at the Mihail Jora Hall, preserving their cultural features.

Once again music reunites not only borders, but also personalities, psychological and human characters in a single programme that adds an extra colour to a highly chromatic evening: a French conductor will lead a Romanian work, a Romanian violinist established in London will perform an Austrian piece and a female pianist born in Sofia who studied in Moscow and Paris will be the soloist of a modern German work performed in Romania for the first time.

The name of the musicians are Amaury du Closel, who once again will be conducting the Radio Chamber Orchestra, Horia Văcărescu, who studied for a Master's degree at the Royal College of Music in London, and Jenny Zaharieva, who gave the European premiere of Piano Concerto No. 2: the Americas by Lalo Schifrin, with the composer conducting.

A Silvestri - Mozart - Ernst Toch programme that will be performed on Wednesday, May 18th, at the Mihail Jora Hall, and will be broadcast live by Radio Romania Music, starting at 19.00.
