Virtuosity, colour and drama!
Friday, 20 May 2011 , 19.00

Both romantic and challening, this week's program of the National Radio Orchestra brings together composers and works at a, one may say, revolutionary level. From a historical point of view, Liszt was revolutionary in pianistic compositions; as for the orchestra there was Berlioz and in musical architecture - Wagner. These are the names on the bill of Friday evening when pianist Dana Borșan will be performing Franz Liszt's Piano Concerto in E-flat major and Danse Macabre under the baton of conductor Jozsef Horvath. By the end of the performance the maestro also invites us to listen to overtures from Hector Berlioz's Roman Carnival and Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser.

How revolutionary can the interpretation be? There is only one way to find out: tune in on Radio Romania Music at 19:00!
