Radio National Orchestra and Romanian Piano Trio to greet summer at the Varna Summer Fest

The Radio National Orchestra and the Romanian Piano Trio leave for Bulgaria, yet not on holiday but to perform within one of the oldest and most appreciated classical music festival, namely the 2011 Varna Summer Fest.

The Romanian musicians are to offer a recital as well as two concerts alongside the Radio National Orchestra under the batons of conductors Iurie Florea and Tiberiu Soare.

Charming and with an exceptional voice, mezzo soprano Ruxandra Donose is to perform alongside the Radio National Orchestra. For the second performance, violinist Alexandru Tomescu, pianist Horia Mihail and cellist Răzvan Suma are to join the ensemble.

George Enescu, Jospeh Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven are in the repertoire of the Romanian Piano Trio on June 22nd in Varna and the performances for the 23rd and 24th of June include both Romanian and universal composers such as T. Brediceanu, Gr. Dinicu, Georges Bizet, Camille Saint-Saëns, Gioachino Rossini, Sergei Prokofiev, Theodor Rogalski, Ludwig van Beethoven, Dmitri Shostakovich.

The performances are to start at 19:30 at the Varna State Opera (June 22) and at the Festival & Congress Centre in Varna (June 23, 24).

The concerts will be broadcast live on Radio Romania Music and Radio Romania Cultural and are to become part of the European Broadcasting Union and thus be broadcast on all public radio stations in Europe.
