'Collection Violins' Festival at the Radio Hall

An original event will take place in the 'Mihail Jora' Concerts Studio in Bucharest between the 23rd of November and the 2nd of December 2011 ‒ 'Collection Violins' Festival at the Radio Hall. Almost every day, recitals and concerts will be held with the help of the National Radio Orchestra and the Radio Chamber Orchestra, having as soloists great violinists who made the Romanian violin school known in the entire world: Bogdan Zvorișteanu, Remus Azoiței, Ștefan Horváth, Gabriel Croitoru, Alexandru Tomescu. Each of them plays a remarkable instrument, thus, the public will be able to listen to chords from violins built by Nicolo Gagliano, Giuseppe Guarneri or Antonio Stradivari, in programmes of performing virtuosity.

The conductors who will lead the Radio Orchestras are Tiberiu Soare, Christian Badea, József Horváth and Mihnea Ignat, while in the scheduled recitals will be performing together with the already mentioned violinists, pianists Clara Cellich, Horia Mihail, Valentin Gheorghiu and Eduard Stan.

The opening concert of the Festival will take place on Wednesday, the 23rd of November 2011, at 19.00, when the Radio Chamber Orchestra conducted by Tiberiu Soare, with a programme comprised of works by Mozart, Pachelbel, Grieg, which will have as guest violinist Bogdan Zvorișteanu, who, together with pianist Clara Cellich, will be the protagonists of the recital which will take place next day.
