'Collection Violins' Festival at the Radio Hall

An unprecedented event will take place in the Mihail Jora Concert Studio in Bucharest between November 23rd and December 2nd 2011 - "Collection Violins" Festival, at the Radio Hall. Almost every day recitals and concerts will be performed, with the participation of the National Radio Orchestra and the Radio Chamber Orchestra, soloists being great violinists who made the Romanian violin school known to the entire world: Bogdan Zvorișteanu, Remus Azoiței, Ștefan Horváth, Gabriel Croitoru, Alexandru Tomescu. Each of them play a remarkable instrument and the audience will be rewarded with harmonious music sprung from violins made by Nicolo Gagliano, Giuseppe Guarneri or Antonio Stradivari, in programmes of performing virtuosity.

The conductors who will lead the Radio Orchestras are Tiberiu Soare, Christian Badea, József Horváth and Mihnea Ignat, while the scheduled recitals will also feature, together with the mentioned violinists, the pianists Clara Cellich, Horia Mihail, Valentin Gheorghiu and Eduard Stan.

Friday, the 25th of November 2011, at 19.00, the National Radio Orchestra will come into spotlight with guests like violinists Remus Azoiței and Christian Badea at the conductor's desk, with a programme that reunites Dediu, Mendelssohn, Strauss.

A series of three recitals will follow: Saturday, the 26th of November, the recitals performed by violinist Stefan Horváth and pianist Horia Mihail, Monday, the 28th of November we will listen to Gabriel Croitoru on violin and Valentin Gheorghiu on piano, and Tuesday, the 29th of November, the last recital will belong to violinist Remus Azoiței and to pianist Eduard Stan.
