The 'Radio Hall Collection Violins' Festival
Thursday, 24 November 2011 , 19.00

In many of the world's orchestras, the positions of concertmaster or assistant concertmaster are filled in by musicians who come from Romania: the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich has George Cosmin Bănică, the Beethoven Orchestra in Bonn has Liviu Câșleanu, the Barcelona Teatro Liceu Orchestra has Liviu Morna, the Orchestra Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino has Ladislau Hotvath, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra has Daniel Szasz.

And at the desk of first violin at The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande plays a Romanian: Bogdan Zvorișteanu. On the 24th of November, he will play live in Bucharest with his 1761 Nicolo Gagliano violin, therefore entering our sonorous, visual, sentimental collection ‒ within the 'Radio Hall Collection Violins' Festival.

Bogdan Zvorișteanu will be accompanied by pianist Clara Cellich in a sonata recital - to be listen to at the 'Mihail Jora' Studio or on Radio Romania Music, on the 24th of November, at 19.00.
