The concert of the National Radio Orchestra of Friday, 20th of January 2012, at 19.00, will be held under the baton of conductor Adrian Morar, who will perform once more on the stage of the Radio Hall and present before the Bucharest audience a diverse programme.

The work Solstice of the composer from Cluj, Adrian Pop, composed in 1979 and inspired from a carol sung in the Bihor area, called The Sun Carol, will be performed in the opening of the concert. Next will be performed Concerto No. 3 Op. 61 for violin and orchestra by Camille Saint-Saëns, composed in 1880 for violinist Pablo de Sarasate, who played it for the very first time. The concert of the evening of 20th of January will feature as soloist violinist Cristina Anghelescu.

In the second part of the programme we will listen to Carnaval Suite by Robert Schumann (Op. 9, 1834, work composed for piano), arranged by Theodor Rogalski in the orchestra version.
