Radio Chamber Orchestra - live broadcast
Wednesday, 25 January 2012 , 19.00

Wednesday, the 25th of January, 19.00, the Radio Chamber Orchestra, led by conductor Cristian Brâncuși, proposes a programme based completely on Mozart's works.

This programme will begin with Ein musikalischer Spass, K. 522, a true musical jewel, passed for juicy caricature of the music composed by his fellow musicians, an irony at his father's bad taste, a caricature of a village orchestra or of uninspired performers. Afterwards, we will listen to Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K. 491, one of the two concerts Mozart composed in minor key, which was not very popular during that time. Here we find, as Mozart's famous exegete, Albert Einstein, used to say: 'an explosion of the dark, tragic, passionate emotions'. The soloist of the concert will be Viniciu Moroianu.

The second part of the programme will comprise Symphony No. 38 in D major, K. 504 'Prague', named after the city that has given the composer his greatest professional joys. The symphony as drama, as expression of a sonorous and moral universe animated by high aspirations - idea often asserted by Mozart - has found its form in Symphony No. 38.
