National Radio Orchestra - live broadcast

The concert of the National Radio Orchestra on Friday, 30 March 2012, at 19.00, will be held with the support of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and will feature three guest winners of international youth competitions: Ivett Gyöngyösi (piano), Marie-Christine Klettner (violin) and Eva-Nina Kozmus (flute).

The event is co-organized by The European Union of Music Competitions for Youth, a European network of classical music competitions for performers with ages up to twenty-five years. Founded in 1970 in Brussels, EMCY currently covers almost thirty countries and aims to promote the educational value of this type of artistic expression, to support young talents and to facilitate the collaboration between musicians with different cultural backgrounds.

The desk for the concert on Friday at the Radio Hall will be occupied by conductor Cristian Oroºanu. The programme will comprise Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11 for piano and orchestra by Frédéric Chopin, Concerto No. 1, Op. 6 in D major for violin and orchestra by Niccolò Paganini and Concerto for Flute and Orchestra by Aram Khachaturian - Rampal.

The International Music Exchange section within the Radio Romania Music radio station included the concert in the 2011-2012 Season of the European Broadcasting Union, on 2 April 2012, when it will be rebroadcast by several broadcasting unions, members of this media organization, and it will be enjoyed by a potential audience of millions of listeners.
