A new Mozart evening in the Season of the Radio Chamber Orchestra. This is undoubtedly a special event, since our ensemble has a guest who has repeatedly proved his musical virtuosity when leading Romanian ensembles – German conductor Walter Hilgers (foto). He is a complete musician, he developed as a tuba player and, after an interesting career with this instrument, he took up pedagogy and conducting.

The Radio Chamber Orchestra will be accompanied by the concertista soloist of the Radio Orchestras and Choruses – violinist Cristina Anghelescu, an artist who has been acclaimed in the most important musical centres and concert halls in the world: Das Schauspielhaus (Berlin), Tchaikovsky Hall (Moscow), Teatro Monumental and Auditorium (Madrid).

Three pieces by Mozart will be heard tonight in the ‘Mihail Jora’ studio: the Overture to the Opera Idomeneo, Concerto No.4 K 218 in D Major for Violin and Orchestra and Symphony No.41 K 551 in C Major, Jupiter.
