A regal of Baroque music, on concert paths, in which the royal instrument of the epoch – the violin – is a voluptuous, fantasist, glamorous ruler. A dialogue of generations, of maestros, of the artistic spirit in its most precious embodiment: communication.

We are thus enticed by the poster of the weekly concert of the Chamber Orchestra on Wednesday, March 3rd 2010, featuring Ilarion Ionescu-Galaţi as conductor and soloist, and Cristina Anghelescu, Ioana Cristina Goicea, Florin Ionescu-Galaţi as solo violinists.

Two scores for orchestra, Symphony in G Major by Antonio Vivaldi and a transcription for string orchestra of The Chaconne from the Solo Violin Partita No. 2 BWV 1004 in E Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, frame a nucleus dedicated to the violin and the solo violins with three pages from the cycle L’Estro armonico by Antonio Vivaldi and Violin and Orchestra Concerto Nr. 2 BWV 1042 in E Major by Johann Sebastian Bach.
