Radio Chamber Orchestra Season
Wednesday, 14 April 2010 , 19.00

Alexandru Tomescu, the ‘Stradivarius’ who performed during the ‘People Unbuild Places’ Campaign, alongside Florin Croitoru, the violinist with a Ph.D. in music and a family man, and conductor Radu Popa, the nephew of poet Radu Gyr, will be performing on April 14th at the ‘Mihail Jora’ Studio one of the most famous works in the history of music, namely Johann Sebastian Bach’s Double Violin Concerto in D minor.

The Radio Chamber Orchestra will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 14 in G major, often described as ‘the most famous and appreciated work’. The performance will end with Franz Schubert’s Symphony No.1 in D major composed at the age of sixteen, a classical work similar to compositions by Antonio Salieri, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven – the balance and harmony Schubert always valued.

The Bach – Schubert concert will be broadcast live on Radio Romania Music on Wednesday, April 14th starting from 19:00.
