Radio Chamber Orchestra - live broadcast
Wednesday, 26 January 2011 , 19.00

The Radio Chamber Orchestra will deliver a special concert today. Why? First of all, because the Mihail Jora Studio will play host to the performance of three works by Mozart. Then, because four soloists will be playing the wind instruments, a type of musical instruments which have been rather neglected in Romanian concerts. And last, but not least, because the orchestra has invited Eckart Hübner, an artist from Germany who has achieved fame as bassoonist and soloist of the Philharmonisches Orchester Darmstadt and the Badische Staatskapelle, as member of the Albert Schweitzer Quintet, and who has lately conducted different ensembles such as: the Schleswig-Holstein Youth Orchestra, the Chamber Ensemble of the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Staatsphilharmonie Riga, the Transylvania Philharmonic in Cluj-Napoca etc.

The programme contains different works; for instance: Adagio and Fugue in C minor for string orchestra KV 546, Sinfonia Concertante for oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon in E-flat major, soloists: oboist Valerica Miron, clarinettist Ion Nedelciu, hornist Vlad Buzdugan and bassoonist Șerban Novac, and at the very end of the concert, the orchestra will perform one of Mozart’s most beloved, appreciated and expected works Symphony in G minor KV 550.
