55 minutes with Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck

At present, Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck is the musical director of the Pittsburgh Symphonic Orchestra, one of the most important American Orchestras. The Dresden Concert performed on May 23 by the conductor and his orchestra is part of the Orchestra's european tour, in May 2010.

The Pittsburgh Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Manfred Honeck had been invited to open the Enescu Festival – 2011 Edition ; Manfred Honeck explained in the interview why this project could not be accomplished. At Dresden, The Pittsburgh Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Manfred Honeck interpreted the cello and orchestra concert by Robert Schumann – soloist Jan Vogler and Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 – versions of the highest rank. The third part of Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 will be available on Saturday, July 3rd, within the transmission "55 minutes with Manfred Honeck".
