55 minutes with Mischa and Lili Maiski
Sunday, 4 July 2010 , 16.05

Cellist Mischa Maiski is very well known to the Romanian public, which had the opportunity to see him perform within the Enescu Festival; one of the most important cellists of our time, he was born in Latvia, he completed his studies in Moscow, was imprisoned by the communists on political grounds and afterwards he emigrated in the West.

In Dresda, he performed a programme with works of the Russian composers alongside his 23 year-old-daughter, pianist Lili Maiski. The interview with the two artists remains a document about a great performer's art and his life mentality but also of a young artist, a very lively interview in which Maiski said the he always considered Romania a very special contry – all in "55 minutes with cellist Mischa Maiski" show on Sunday, July 4th at 4:05 p.m
