"The real you" is dedicated to pianist Bill Evans, one of the musicians with the greatest influence on modern jazz, sung in his spirit, in an interplay that avoids the predictable and causes a smile. Pieranunzi's musical language is licked by classical music. His style can be framed in "classical jazz", through the dynamic touch that lets the phrases and songs come to light on the surface.

Thomas Fonnesbaek's bass creates a foundation for songs with his rhythmic insistence but also elegance, which responds carefully to sensitivity and detail. His melody also refers to Scot LaFaro, Bill Evans' bassist, so expressive and inspiring, who would have left many more moments of uniqueness if he had not died at the age of 25 in a car accident.
