Kyle Asche: album "Five Down Blues", Jazzy Hour, 26th of October, 2021

We start today with Kyle Asche, an exceptional guitarist from Chicago who started his professional career in 2001, playing from the early years with Wynton Marsalis, Melvin Rhyne or Chris Foreman, manifesting his versatility in different genres, being often found in the company some popular soloists but especially in trio formulas led by the Hammond organ, the wonderful "trio organ", with that unitary sound, balanced timbre, rhythmic cursive, which you can never get tired of. The principles of his style had to be applied in an individual project as well, so in 2021 appears "Five Down Blues", the first lead album, in a trio organ with Pete Benson on Hammond and George Fludas on drums. The album is in full swing, celebrating the tradition of this type of trio, adding its own modern aesthetic. Interestingly, these groups, although usually led by guitarists, are distinguished by the unmistakable sound of the Hammond B3 orgy. Cleverly created themes, solos in the blues range, ideas developed in a relaxed way, which keep the energy constant, without interrupting the musical flow. The musicians listen to each other and build a common story, taking full advantage of the magic of combining these three instruments, in an impeccable synchronization. Kyle Asche chose well and managed to expose his qualities as a leader and improviser at the best level that the catalog of productions of this kind maintains.
