"Lost in Venice" - works by Antonio Vivaldi, Francesco Veracini and Benedetto Marcello. Album released on February 25th, 2022
Recorded in January 2022 at the Santo Domingo church in Segovia, the album "Lost in Venice" was released on November 25th, 2022, on the Eudora record label in Madrid. These are prints of the ensemble "Infermid'Amore" led by violinist Vadym Makarenko. The album includes baroque creations that appeared in this wonderful Italian city, Venice, whose musical art flourished during the 18th Century; a music distinguished by inventiveness rather than reason or contrapuntal rigor, with freedom of expression and a special melodic-harmonic richness. From the creations of composers Antonio Vivaldi, Francesco Veracini and Benedetto Marcello, violinist Vadym Makarenko chose for his album lost and recently rediscovered pieces or unfinished works abandoned for many decades.
The "Infermid'Amore" ensemble is an instrumental group whose members come from different countries - Spain, the United States of America, Canada, Ukraine, Italy and France, united by their passion for the music of the 17th and 18th Centuries and the studies they followed at the Conservatory of Early Music ScholaCantorum in Basel. The ensemble was founded by Vadym Makarenko, a young violinist born in Ukraine, who studied at the Kyiv Music Institute, where he fell in love with baroque creation, making the decision to deepen it in Western Europe. Since 2019, he has been based in Madrid, where he collaborates with early music ensembles and leads the band "Infermid'Amore", with whom he gives concerts on the Lorenzo & Tomaso Carcassi violin, a valuable instrument built in 1760 and loaned to Vadym Makarenko by the Jumpstart Jr. Foundation from Amsterdam.
