In the booklet of this disc, recorded in July 2025 at the Concert Hall of the Poznań Philharmonic, it is noted: "This captivating album by violinist Viviane Hagner brings together two composers whose music seems, at first glance, to come from different worlds. Yet it reveals remarkable artistic affinities. Max Bruch, emblematic of German Romanticism, and Alexandre Tansman, a cosmopolitan Polish composer who spent much of his life in France. The two musicians share an exceptional melodic sense and expressive nuance. This album is an invitation to discover two incredible composers, to experience the beauty and breadth of a repertoire that deserves greater recognition." Indeed, the music that violinist Viviane Hagner has recorded for her new disc stands out through its lyricism, emotion, and poetic spirit, qualities that the German artist highlights with the support of the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra. The musical conducting is entrusted to the Polish conductor Łukasz Borowicz, the ensemble's music director.

One of the most highly regarded violinists in Germany, Viviane Hagner, born in 1977 in Munich, has performed on major stages around the world, collaborating with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, Kent Nagano, and Riccardo Chailly. She is based in Berlin and has held a teaching position at the Berlin University of the Arts, later also at the Mannheim Conservatory. To date, Viviane Hagner has recorded seven albums covering a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to contemporary music, including both chamber and concert works the most recent being this disc released in March by the Accentus Music label.
