Radio România Muzical interviews with the pianist Maria Răduțu on Tuesday, the 20th of September at 17:05

Tuesday, 20 September 2016 , ora 9.53

On Tuesday, the 20th of September, live on radio and audio-video on the website of Radio România Muzical, we present you the Insomnia record by the Decca record company.

There aren't many Romanian interpreters who are currently part of famous record companies. One of these few musicians is the pianist Maria Răduțu, a musician who was born in Bucharest and is now established in Vienna. On the 3rd of June 2016, she released her album, Insomnia, at the Decca record company which is one of the most important ones worldwide.

I don't know how many people remember Maria Răduțu, a pianist-child who cut a brilliant figure during the '90s in Bucharest. Nowadays, Maria Răduțu is 32 years old, having spent half of her life in the city where she had studied, Vienna; she is involved in quite interesting projects, such as concerts in important Asian centers and an American debut scheduled in 2017, but also concept-concerts and her being part of a chamber trio where she performs new music.

Speaking of which, new music and also votive works are to be found on the Insomnia album, an excursion into the oneiric world. Therefore, join me at my meeting with Maria Răduțu on Tuesday, the 20th of September, at 17:05-18:00.
