The International Radio Grand Prix Awarded by URTI will be decided in Bucharest

Monday, 12 August 2013 , ora 7.57

At the beginning of October, Radio Romania will host the 25th edition of the International Radio Grand Prix awarded by the International Union of Radio and Television (URTI).

Because the Romania Broadcasting Society has been for more than fifteen years a member in the Board Council of this prestigious international institution and owns the presidency of the Radio Committee, Romania was permitted to organize this worldwide radio competition.

Every year, The International Radio Grand Prix rewards the radio broadcastings, which through their originality and their quality had a major contribution to the conservation and promotion of the cultural heritage. This year more than 120 contestants from the entire world are expected to take part in the competition. The theme of the 25th edition of the contest, which will take place this autumn in Bucharest, is "Boundaries". The efforts of the participants regarding the documentation and originality will be analyzed by a jury including international audio visual personalities from several continents. Among the most prestigious institutions that will be represented within the jury are Radio France, the Italian Broadcasting Television (RAI) and the Belgian Francophone Broadcasting Television (RTBF), same as many others.
