The "Transylvania Art and Science" Association, in partnership with the "Gheorghe Dima" National Academy of Music, announces the opening of the 3rd edition of the festival "A Tribute to György Ligeti in His Native Transylvania". The event will take place between October 28 and November 1, 2020 and will take place exclusively online, and can be watched on the page www.ligetifestival.ro

The new edition includes on its agenda three concerts, a masterclass and a musicology conference, during which the volume "A Tribute to György Ligeti in His Native Transylvania" will be launched, edited by the artistic director of the festival, associate professor. dr. Bianca Țiplea Temeș, together with Kofi Agawu, from City University of New York.

Among the invited artists are the Austrian conductor Gottfried Rabl, the soprano Ibolya Vigh, Irinel Anghel, Călin Torsan, the Ad-HOC "and Friends" Ensemble, the "Couleurs" Ensemble conducted by Alexandru Ștefan Murariu and the "Jubilate" Choir led by Mihaela Cesa-Goje .

The Homage to György Ligeti project in his native Transylvania is realized with the support of the Administration of the National Cultural Fund, of the City Hall and of the Cluj-Napoca Local Council.
