Cristian Măcelaru and Daniel Ciobanu, in an exceptional Beethoven concert, with tickets on sale on March 1st

On Tuesday, March 9th and Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, the "George Enescu" Philharmonic organizes an extraordinary concert with public, with a full Beethoven program. The concert will be conducted by Cristian Măcelaru, the most important Romanian conductor on the international scene today, recently appointed musical director of the National Orchestra of France. The soloist will be Daniel Ciobanu, the first artist in residence of the Philharmonic, who will perform Concerto No. 4, in G major, for piano and orchestra, op. 58 on the institution's new Steinway piano. In the second part, the public will be able to listen to the famous Heroic Symphony from Beethoven's creation, whose 250th birthday was celebrated in December 2020. Tickets for this exceptional concert are on sale online on the institution's website , starting Monday, March 1st, starting with 12 p.m.

Ticket prices are:

Category I: 125 RON;

Category II: 115 RON.


Tickets will go on sale online on Monday, March 1st, 2021, starting with 12 p.m.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic with COVID-19, 210 tickets will be put up for sale for each concert, the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum being occupied in proportion of 30 percent of capacity.

Tickets can be purchased as follows:

- From the Ticket Office of the Romanian Athenaeum

Program: Tuesday - Friday 12 p.m - 7 p.m. Payment only in cash.

- Online, accessing the website www.fge.org.ro- "Calendar" section. Please note that once the online booking process has started, the seats will be blocked for 30 minutes. The maximum number of tickets that can be purchased in an online session is six tickets. In order to support the activity of the "George Enescu" Philharmonic, the payment processor does not charge at this concert the commission of 5% of the ticket value.

- Tickets once purchased are only refundable under the conditions provided by law.

The concerts scheduled for the 2020-2021 season involve compliance with all safety measures to prevent contamination with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The entrance to the concerts organized in the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum i sallowed until 6:50 p.m. and the public is asked to strictly observe the rules imposed by protection and distance.
